Yonex Men's Tennis Shoes

Yonex Women's Tennis Shoes

Hi everyone, it’s Leo from Merchant of Tennis and today we're talking about Yonex footwear. Here we have three standout models built to match your style of play.

First up we have the latest version of the Sonicage, the lightest of our Yonex lineup. This shoe is known for being comfortable and supportive—an accessible shoe for all levels of play. The 2025 update adds a softer, more adaptive fit for comfort without sacrificing support. Perforations in the toe area improve breathability, while a redesigned shank flexes naturally through the midfoot for smoother, more effortless transitions. It also features Power Cushion+ and a Power Graphite plate for shock absorption and stability, with a flexible upper that reduces pressure during movement. Some players feel Yonex shoes to be more narrow than other brands. In men’s, we carry the wide version, which may be helpful for those who need a little more room. Overall, it’s a reliable option for players who want comfort and support for all court play.

Next up, the Ad-Accel. This is a new model from Yonex and their response to those fast paced, low to the ground shoes you love, like the Nike Vapor Pro 3 and Asics Speed FF 3. Made for players who thrive on speed, the Ad-Accel is built for explosive movement and rapid direction changes. It features Power Cushion+ for enhanced shock absorption and energy return, along with a stable midfoot design that keeps you controlled during quick footwork. The ultra-lightweight mesh upper is highly breathable, keeping your feet cool and secure through fast-paced rallies. Some feel this shoe to be on the narrow side, but luckily for those who need the extra room, it’s also available in a wider version. If you rely on speed and sharp movement, the Ad-Accel delivers.

Last up, the Eclipsion. This is the 5th generation of the shoe, launched in 2024, and has been a staple in the Yonex footwear lineup. A stable all-around performer, this shoe blends cushioning, durability, and support, and fits closer to a standard-width shoe. Those who have loved the Eclipsion in the past will notice some performance-driven updates throughout. The newly shaped Power Cushion+ midsole is designed to absorb both vertical and lateral impact while delivering a quick, springy response. This helps you change directions faster with less stress on your joints. Yonex pairs that with TPU support through the midfoot, adding structure under pressure and helping you spring more efficiently into your next movement. The outsole in the all-court model has also been refined with a denser tread pattern for increased ground contact, improving balance and control through gliding movements and quick cuts. Together, these changes make the Eclipsion 5 feel more stable and responsive, while delivering comfort and control for all-around performance.

To recap:

  • The Sonicage is a lightweight, supportive option that blends comfort, breathability, and smooth movement—now refined with a softer fit, improved ventilation, and enhanced midfoot flexibility for all-around court coverage.
  • The Ad-Accel is Yonex’s speed-focused model—lightweight, breathable, and built for players who want explosive movement and quick footwork.
  • The Eclipsion delivers the most cushioning and support in the lineup—now updated with quicker rebound, a more stable outsole, reinforced durability in key zones, and breathable mesh to keep you cool and locked in during demanding matches.

Whatever your style, Yonex has a shoe designed to up your game on the court.
