In-Store Demo Service Terms & Conditions

Available starting May 22, 2021

  • Test 2 racquets for 7 days
  • $10 per demo session
  • Demo fees applied to racquet purchase (In-store service only)

Apply up to a maximum of $30 credit in demo fees towards a purchase of a new racquet (within 60 days from first demo date, not applicable to online demo service fees).

Each customer must provide a credit card authorization of $200 for each frame, cash or debit deposit for the full amount of the racquet including stringing for each demo.

$3 non-refundable fee will be charged to your account per day late. (this fee does not go towards $30 credit for purchase of a racquet).

Customers must sign and agree to the demo program before each demo period.

Demo availability is on first-come, first- serve basis.

Racquets must be returned in the same condition they were loaned.

If the racquet(s) are not returned after 14 days, the full price for each racquet will be charged to your account. This charge is non-refundable.

All demos must be strung by Merchant of Tennis only. Do not remove broken strings from demo racquet, otherwise you will be charged for a re-stringing. 

Customers will not be charged for broken strings that occur during the demo period (unless the broken strings are removed from the racquet).

Merchant of Tennis reserves the right to refuse our demo service at any time.

Online Demo Service Terms & Conditions

You may demo up to 2 racquets at a time.

By using our Online Demo Service, you agree to the terms & conditions.

Online Demo Service is currently available to Canadian customers only.

How much does it cost?

The cost that you will incur to demo up to two racquets online is a $25 Demo Service Fee

  • The Online Demo Service Fee is non-refundable
  • The Online Demo Service Fee does not contribute to Free Shipping minimum threshold
  • The Online Demo Service Fee cannot be applied as purchase credits

How long does it take to get the demos & how long can I keep them?

Demos are shipped during regular business hours and can take anywhere from 1-14 business days to arrive depending on your location and the shipping service you select during checkout. You can keep the racquets for up to 7 days from the day that you receive them. The racquets must be dropped off at a Canada Post location on the 7th day from when you received them 

How do I return demos to Merchant of Tennis?

We will provide you with a pre-paid Canada Post or UPS return label that you place over the existing label on the box that you receive the demo racquets in. Take the racquets to any staffed Canada Post or UPS shipping station depending on the return label you have. You will not be charged any additional fees when you return the demos through Canada Post or UPS with the pre-paid return label.

What if I forget to return them?

We want as many people as possible to have a chance to demo these racquets, so it’s important that they are returned to us on time. If you ship them late, there is a late fee of $3.00 per racquet per day. If you are more than 7 days late and we are unable to reach you, we will charge you full price of the strung racquets.

What do I do if I break a string?

If you break a string while you have a demo please do not re-string it. Please simply ship the racquet back to us using the method above. You will not be charged for breaking a string (unless the broken strings are removed from the racquet).

Can I re-string the demo?

All demos must be strung by Merchant of Tennis only. Do not remove broken strings from demo racquet, otherwise you will be charged for a re-stringing. 

What happens if I damage the racquet?

Racquets must be returned in the same condition as they were loaned. If the frame of racquet is damaged during the demo period, the customer must pay to replace the frame.

Can I put a demo on hold?

Demos cannot be put on hold, they are made available on a first come first serve basis.

Can I pay with PayPal?

We are unable to accept payment for demo racquets via PayPal. If you proceed with the checkout via PayPal you will be contacted by our Customer Service department and will be asked to provide credit card information along with government issued photo ID.

Can I pick up Online Demos In-store?

Store pickup options are not available for online orders containing demos. Please visit one of our store locations to use the in-store demo services.
