Online Demo Service
Before you proceed with any order containing a demo racquet, you must read the following page and agree to the terms within.
How much does it cost?
The cost that you will incur to demo up to two racquets online is a $20 Demo Service Fee.
- The Demo Service Fee covers the cost of maintaining the quality of our demos. We ensure that all racquets are strung by our Master Racquet Technicians, have a maintained grip, and a dampener. Our goal is to ensure that you have the best possible experience when trying a new racquet.
How long does it take to get the demos & how long can I keep them?
Demos are shipped during regular business hours and can take anywhere from 2-5 business days to arrive depending on your location. You can keep the racquets for up to 7 days from the day that you receive them. The racquets must be dropped off at a Canada Post location on the 7th day from when you received them
How do I return demos to Merchant of Tennis?
We will provide you with a pre-paid Canada Post return label that you place over the existing label on the box that you receive the demo racquets in. Take the racquets to any staffed Canada Post shipping station. Click here to find the closest Canada Post station. You will not be charged any additional fees when you return the demos through Canada Post with the pre-paid return label.
What if I forget to return them?
We want as many people as possible to have a chance to demo these racquets, so it’s important that they are returned to us on time. If you ship them late, there is a late fee of $3.00 per racquet per day. If you are more than 7 days late and we are unable to reach you, we will charge you full price of the strung racquets.
What do I do if I break a string?
If you break a string while you have a demo please do not re-string it. Please simply ship the racquet back to us using the method above. You will not be charged for breaking a string.
What happens if I damage the racquet?
Racquets must be returned in the same condition as they were loaned. If the frame of racquet is damaged during the demo period, the customer must pay to replace the frame.
Can I put a demo on hold?
Demos cannot be put on hold, they are made available on a first come first serve basis.
Can I pay with PayPal?
We are unable to accept payment for racquets via PayPal. If you proceed with the checkout via PayPal you will be contacted by our Customer Service department and will be asked to provide credit card information along with government issued photo ID.
