Description

The Dunlop CX 200 2027 is a control-focused 98 square inch racquet for strong intermediate to advanced players who want precise targeting, solid feel and enough spin access to swing with intent. Compared with the denser 18x20 version, this 16x19 model offers a slightly easier launch and a more forgiving route to depth while keeping the composed, connected response that defines the CX line.

Its 98 square inch head and thin 21.5 mm beam give the CX 200 a more focused, lower-powered response than a typical 100 square inch all-round frame, which will appeal to players who like to generate pace through their own mechanics. The 16x19 string pattern helps open up a bit more string movement than the 18x20 sibling, making it easier to add shape to the ball and find depth without changing the racquet's control-oriented character. At 305 grams unstrung, the frame has enough mass to feel stable against heavier shots and to return a more solid ball when swung aggressively. The 315 mm, 9 point head-light balance keeps that weight manageable, supporting quick preparation from the baseline and responsive handling at net.

For this generation, Dunlop's main update is a revised stiffness distribution through the hoop. The upper part of the frame is designed to flex inward a little more for better feel and ball feedback, while the lower hoop is firmed up to improve torsional stability and help the racquet stay steadier through contact. Repositioned Sonic Core at 3 and 9 o'clock works with Vibroshield to reduce unwanted vibrations and create a smoother response. Control Frame Geometry reinforces stability in the face and throat, and Powergrid Stringtech+ refines the central 16x19 pattern to encourage a little more string movement for usable spin and pace within this racquet's precision-first design.

The CX 200 2027 is a strong fit for players who want a traditional control racquet that still gives them enough spin and responsiveness for modern baseline play. It keeps the classic CX identity intact, while the updated construction is designed to make the frame feel steadier, smoother and more connected under pressure.

  • Sonic Core: Located in the middle of the hoop, this super-elastic, super-light material, offers rebound properties significantly higher than other materials. Reduced vibrations mean reduced impact and more comfort.
  • Vibroshield: Feel the control when hitting. The high elasticity properties of the vibration dampening material within the racquet frame reduce vibrations and gives an increased feeling of control when hitting.
  • Control Frame Geometry: Improved stability, and greater spin and power. Advancements to the frame shape provide improved stability in the face and throat of the racquet. And more vertical string length means increased string movement for greater spin and power.
  • Powergrid Stringtech+: Hit with increased spin and power. The updated string pattern enables increased spin and power in the central hitting area.

Photos used contain images of strings for illustration purposes. Adult tennis racquets are unstrung unless otherwise noted or stringing services have been selected above. Brand logo stencils are not applied by default with stringing services. If you request brand logo stencils, please note that a stencil is painted onto the strings within a brand's stencil and may wear off over time - this is how stencils are applied on tour. Depending on the string you select, the stencil paint application fullness, colour and visibility may vary.

Adult racquets generally do not come with covers. To protect your racquet, we recommend getting a racquet bag.

Product specs such as weight may vary slightly from racquet to racquet to what is advertised due to the manufacturing process.

Grip size palm measurements for tennis racquets

If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip (for a slight increase) or a grip build-up sleeve (for a half or full size increase). The grip measurements above factor in the pre-installed factory grip.
