Description

The Dunlop CX 200 18x20 2027 is a control-focused 98 square inch racquet for experienced intermediate to advanced players who value precision, feel and composed handling. It offers the classic CX blend of directional control and clean feedback, while its updated construction is designed to add a little more stability and comfort through contact.

With its 98 square inch head and dense 18x20 string pattern, the CX 200 18x20 is aimed at players who want a more predictable launch and the confidence to swing fully at their targets. The 305 gram unstrung weight gives it enough substance for stronger ball strikers, but it remains manageable for players who rely on racquet-head speed and quick preparation. A 315 mm, 9 point head-light balance helps keep the frame manoeuvrable from the baseline and responsive at net, which is important in a control racquet at this weight. The constant 21.5 mm beam supports a more connected, lower-powered response than a thicker modern frame, helping the racquet stay true to its precision-first identity.

For this generation, Dunlop has focused on how the frame bends and stabilizes through the shot rather than simply changing the cosmetics. The revised stiffness distribution is designed to let the upper hoop deform a little more for improved feel, while the lower part of the hoop is firmed up to enhance torsional stability and keep the racquet steadier on contact. Repositioned Sonic Core at 3 and 9 o'clock works with Vibroshield to reduce unwanted vibrations and produce a smoother response. Control Frame Geometry reinforces stability through the face and throat, and Powergrid Stringtech+ is intended to help the dense central string bed provide controlled access to spin and pace instead of feeling overly board-like.

The CX 200 18x20 2027 suits players who want a traditional control racquet with a slightly more modern level of stability and responsiveness. For hitters who prefer a denser pattern and a precise 98 square inch head, it offers a balanced mix of feel, predictability and enough support to swing with conviction under pressure.

  • Sonic Core: Located in the middle of the hoop, this super-elastic, super-light material, offers rebound properties significantly higher than other materials. Reduced vibrations mean reduced impact and more comfort.
  • Vibroshield: Feel the control when hitting. The high elasticity properties of the vibration dampening material within the racquet frame reduce vibrations and gives an increased feeling of control when hitting.
  • Control Frame Geometry: Improved stability, and greater spin and power. Advancements to the frame shape provide improved stability in the face and throat of the racquet. And more vertical string length means increased string movement for greater spin and power.
  • Powergrid Stringtech+: Hit with increased spin and power. The updated string pattern enables increased spin and power in the central hitting area.

Photos used contain images of strings for illustration purposes. Adult tennis racquets are unstrung unless otherwise noted or stringing services have been selected above. Brand logo stencils are not applied by default with stringing services. If you request brand logo stencils, please note that a stencil is painted onto the strings within a brand's stencil and may wear off over time - this is how stencils are applied on tour. Depending on the string you select, the stencil paint application fullness, colour and visibility may vary.

Adult racquets generally do not come with covers. To protect your racquet, we recommend getting a racquet bag.

Product specs such as weight may vary slightly from racquet to racquet to what is advertised due to the manufacturing process.

Grip size palm measurements for tennis racquets

If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip (for a slight increase) or a grip build-up sleeve (for a half or full size increase). The grip measurements above factor in the pre-installed factory grip.
