Description

Meant for success on clay. Get to every single ball with blistering speed in the Vapor 12. With a reworked upper and new rubber compound on the outsole, it's lighter and more responsive than the 11. And Nike brought back springy Air Zoom cushioning and their Claybreaker technology, so that you're ready for the red dirt.

A heel Air Zoom unit helps keep you supported and springy throughout your match.

Clay Ready

Nike Claybreaker technology helps give you enhanced traction and less build-up on clay courts. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot work with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with control. Nike used traction maps, pressure maps and analysed clay build-up areas for the design. Then, Nike tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay-weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry).

Lighter Load

The herringbone traction pattern is made from Nike’s new rubber compound that's lighter than Vapors of the past. Nike brought back the firm midfoot plastic piece seen on past Vapors to provide optimal stability and transitions when cutting from side to side. The supportive piece also allowed Nike to remove the rubber in the midfoot, which helps reduce the overall weight of the shoe.

Transfer the Power

A firm foot frame wraps around the supportive midfoot plate and spans from heel to toe, giving you more of a secure feel. It helps give you the stability to transfer power during aggressive slides, cuts and pivots.

Lightweight Upper

Nike reduced the weight of the engineered mesh while maintaining durability in high-wear zones by the toe.

  • The full midfoot fit band allows you to pull the laces tighter to enhance the fit and enable faster cuts.
  • The midsole foam in between the plastic and rubber, which wasn't on the Vapor 11, helps keep you light on your feet.

Shoes may be tried on for fit on a clean surface only.
Shoe box must be the manufacturer's original box.
Shoe box must be covered/protected, undamaged, unmarked and without any adhesive additions (such as tape etc).
Returns without shoe box are not accepted. Regular priced items may be returned within 30 days of ordering for a refund or exchange.
