Hi Lindsey – I use the Yonex VCore SV100 and string at 55 Lbs, I didn’t change the string tension when I switched to the natural gut string. The best feature of this string is that it holds its tension better than any other. So, no need to worry about the loss of tension over time. I’m not having any fraying issues but I checked with Tomas about that. Tomas said that fraying won’t affect the performance of string, it’s simply an aesthetic issue.
Hope I’ve addressed your concerns, please feel free to call the store and speak with Tomas or Steven if you have any further questions.

what did you string your tension at? and what kind of racquet. Im suffering from tendonitis… and similar to you and don’t want to lose power or control stringing at a lower tension as it will lose tension over time. I’m not a string breaker, but the last time i had natural gut ive had major fraying that i had to cut….suggestions would be helpful. I play with a Wilson Blade Serena 104 Autograph.
