In 2024, Merchant of Tennis entered a multi-year partnership with Tennis Canada and the National Bank Open presented by Rogers to become the Official Retailer and Stringer in Toronto.
Having been actively involved in the tennis community for over 30 years, we are proud to continue our commitment to growing the game and providing an unparalleled consumer experience for players and fans at the NBO in Toronto.
2025 Recap

In our second year back as the Official Retailer and Stringer of the National Bank Open, we created so many memories. Notably, the men’s and women’s tournaments both featured monumental achievements for Canadians. We’d like to congratulate Women’s Singles Champion Victoria Mboko and Ariana Arseneault for making it to the main draw to face eventual finalist Naomi Osaka.
In Toronto, we witnessed Nicolas Arseneault secure his first ATP Masters 1000 main draw victory! Our Head stringer, Jared, had the chance to interview Nicolas to get his thoughts and reactions after the big win.
This year we partnered with Wilson, Dunlop, and Yonex to bring autograph signings to our retail tent at the tournament! It was an honour to host Canadian rising star Gabriel Diallo, NBO 2024 Singles Champion Alexei Popyrin, and ATP top 15 ranked Casper Ruud.

Led by our Head stringer Jared Horwood and a crew of Grand Slam experienced veterans, our professional stringing team strung over 1700 racquets throughout the tournament!

2024 Recap
The first year of our partnership with Tennis Canada and the National Bank Open was an incredible experience, serving the fans and players as the Official Retailer and Stringer of the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto. With photo ops, autograph signings, giveaways, and more, we shared countless memories with the tennis community throughout the event.

As the Official Stringers of the National Bank Open, our professional string team, led by Tomas Stilwell, took pride in stringing hundreds of racquets for the incredible WTA 1000 players throughout the tournament. The official racquet count by the end of the tournament was 873, including 44 racquets for the Singles Champion Jessica Pegula!
