Description

The 2026 Speed MP L is designed for ambitious all-court club players, rising intermediates, and confident beginners seeking controllable power, excellent manoeuvrability, and easy handling.

Weighing 10.1 ounces unstrung, 5 grams heavier than the previous model, the MP L strikes an improved balance between stability and manoeuvrability, helping players generate swing speed, power, and spin with greater ease. Its head-light balance keeps the racquet quick through the air for excellent racquet head speed, lively spin potential, and fast, dynamic volleys at net. A 100-square-inch head size delivers a generous sweet spot with accessible power and added comfort, while the open string pattern boosts response, enhances spin, and contributes to a more forgiving feel. The frame’s flexible construction further improves comfort and provides enhanced ball feel.

The 2026 Speed lineup features Hy-Bor, a cutting-edge aerospace-inspired material added to the shaft, offering enhanced stability and a more solid, confident feel at impact. Auxetic 2.0 technology improves ball connection and feedback, and the updated metallic colourway with a matte finish refreshes the classic Speed black-and-white look.

With the addition of Hy-Bor for improved stability, Auxetic 2.0 for a more connected feel, and a slightly heavier build for added power, the refined MP L delivers a more solid, confident response that current players will immediately notice on faster swings. For new players, it offers an easy-to-handle, all-court racquet that blends manoeuvrability, accessible power, and modern feel—making it an ideal entry point into the Speed family.

  • Hy-Bor
State-of-the-art material mix that is mainly used in the high-tech aerospace industry, and which has been added to the shaft to enhance the perceived stability and signature solid impact feel.
  • Auxetic 2.0
Feel every shot and get more confidence in your game with HEAD Auxetic 2.0 technology. It actively responds, giving real-time, super-accurate feedback.
  • Graphene Inside
Strategically positioned in most of our racquets, Graphene strengthens the frame, provides greater stability and optimises energy transfer from racquet to ball.
  • Power Grommets
The enlarged power grommets maximize string movement for increased power.
  • Directional Drilling
Directional drilling combine increased power and sweetspot, delivering a plush impact feel.
  • Speed Pattern
A special speed string pattern provides with the perfect mix of power under control.
  • Speed Beam
The aerodynamic cross-section of the Speed beam maximizes swingspeed and power.

Brand logo stencils are not applied by default with stringing services. If you request brand logo stencils, please note that a stencil is painted onto the strings within a brand's stencil and may wear off over time - this is how stencils are applied on tour. Depending on the string you select, the stencil paint application fullness, colour and visibility may vary.

Adult racquets generally do not come with covers. To protect your racquet, we recommend getting a racquet bag.
