The update to the popular VCORE Duel G 310, the VCORE Pro 97 G 310g continues to be a great control oriented players racquet in a slightly lighter package.
Weighted at 10.9 ounces (310 grams) the VCORE Pro 97 G is significantly lighter than it's big brother the VCORE Pro 97 HG (11.6 ounces). Though it might lack some of the stability and plough through of the hefty HG version, it does still offer plenty of both. Not surprisingly, its lighter weight results in a faster swinging and more maneuverable racquet. Adding to the maneuverability is the 10 point headlight balance (310 mm balance point). Meaning this racquet's quickness should make it great at the net. As with it's predecessor, the most noticeable technology that the VCORE Pro 97 displays is Yonex's tried and tested Isometric head shape. This allows the relatively compact 97 square inch headsize feel much larger especially compared to other racquets in this class.
New to this update is the integration of a material called Namd into strategic areas of the racquet's layup. According to Yonex, Namd is a very flexible carbon material and allows the graphite carbon to create more snapback producing more powerful shots, better feel as well as more spin potential. Also new to this version is a slightly more open 16x19 string pattern compared to the 16x20 pattern of its predecessor. This results in even greater access to spin and a touch more pop.
It looks like Yonex has a winner on their hands in the updated VCORE PRO 97 G 310g. It's definitely worth demo for those players looking for fast swinging players racquet that has great feel and lots of spin potential. Look for the VCORE Pro 97 G in the hands of ATP rising stars Hyeon Chung and Frances Tiafoe!

This improved grommet system utilizes a dual groove system across the entire frame. At the top are deep grooves; at the side are shallow grooves inside of the frame. Overall this contributes to a 7% larger sweet spot across the stringbed. YONEX knows that many players catch the ball at the top of frame. With Isometric Technology, players can now hit with greater impact both on dynamic angles, as well as powerful attacking shots - even on off-centre hits.
3D Vector Shaft:
Deeper grooves in the shaft of the racquet (throat and handle) improve its stiffness and reduce twisting of the frame, increasing face stability by 20%.
Black Micro Core:
Black Micro Core technology, which is positioned at 10 and 2 o'clock within the racquet head, features new carbon and elastic particles which have been added to specifically enhance and increase the face stability and improve vibration dampening.
Tough G Fibre:
Tough G Fibre is incorporated into the shaft. 3 times more flexible than Carbon Nanotube, it provides high repulsion for a heavier and powerful spin.
Lock Booster System:
The new system on the grommets has more holes towards the top of the frame as well as grooves to lock the string, crushing the ball and producing more spin.
Super Cushion Grip:
The Super Cushion Grip minimizes vibration. The cushioning performance of the grip helps protect the wrist, forearm and elbow against shock-induced injuries.
A flexible carbon material that works in a graphite matrix to produce optimal frame snapback at impact. Producing better feel, more power and greater spin potential.
Dimensional Weight: 1.0 kg
Dimensional weight, also known as volumetric weight, is an estimated weight that is calculated from the length, width, height and actual weight of a package. It also takes into consideration oversize/fuel surcharges. It is not representative of the actual weight of a package. We use this estimated weight as the basis to our shipping rate calculations.
