The Vcore series has exploded onto the tennis scene at both the club and professional level. Yonex is celebrating this success by releasing select Vcore models in a Galaxy Black edition, a new sleek look that will have everyone on court checking out your racquet.
Yonex updates the VCORE SV 100 G and puts even more emphasis on aerodynamics and spin as well as enhancing the racquet's feel.
There are plenty of 100 square inch head-size racquets that weigh 300 grams on the market, however, there are very few that possess the same levels of spin potential and feel as the VCORE 100. Boasting a few new technologies, this update is even more aerodynamic and spin friendly than its predecessor - the VCORE SV 100. The addition of more Aero Fins, now at the lower portion of the head as well as the upper portion of the head reduces air resistance as does Aero Trench technology that recesses the grommets along the top of the racquet's head. Thanks to these new technologies, Yonex claims this latest VCORE series of racquets to be the highest spin producing racquets in the company's history.
Also new to this racquet is Yonex's Namd technology. One complaint about the VCORE SV 100 was that it could feel a little jarring at impact. Especially on off centre ball strikes. The integration of the extremely flexible Namd material into strategic areas of the racquet's layup allows the graphite carbon to create more snapback; producing more powerful shots, but also better feel as well as more spin potential. Though this racquet has a similar flex rating (68 RA) to it's predecessor the VCORE SV 100, it does feel noticeably softer and more forgiving thanks to the Namid technology. Another new technology that enhances this racquets feel is Liner Tech. By dramatically reducing the angle at which the string enters the grommets on select main strings acts to extend these strings and produces a larger more forgiving sweetspot as well as more ball pocketing at impact.
Though it going up against some stiff competition in the 100 square inch head category of racquets, the VCORE 100 likely offers a more forgiving sweetspot than most of its competitors thanks to Yonex's patented Isometric head shape that increases the sweet spot by 7% for greater control without sacrificing power.
Thanks to the increase in spin potential and improved feel, the VCORE 100 is definitely a welcome update to the VCORE 100 and should create plenty of buzz in the crowded 100 square each head and 300 gram segment of the market.

To determine your grip size without using a racquet, measure from the tip of your ring finger to the major fold crease in your palm. Write down the distance to the nearest 8th of an inch. This is your standard grip size.
If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip or a grip build-up sleeve.
