A lighter weight version of the Ultra 100, the Ultra 100L would be a great choice for beginner to intermediate players that are looking for a maneuverable racquet that still packs plenty of pop. This racquet would also be a great option for competitive junior players that are transitioning into an adult racquet.
In Wilson’s quest to have a racquet for almost every type of player in each of their different families of racquets, they have introduced a lightweight version of their extremely popular Ultra 100. The Ultra 100L weighs in at 9.8 ounces (277 grams) making it light enough to be extremely manoeuvrable, while still having enough mass to provide pop and stability. The balance point of 6 points head light (325 mm) also makes for a fast swinging racquet, which should add to the racquet's power and spin potential.
Like the other racquets in the new family of Ultra racquets, Wilson also adds a few new technologies to the make up of the Ultra 100L. Power Rib technology adds ribs to the inside of the throat of the racquet. The result is more torsional stability and directional control as well as a slight increase in stiffness in the throat, which helps to boast power. Crush Zone technology is a new grommet system that compresses at impact providing more dwell time, increased feel and a more explosive string bed.
With the Ultra 100L, Wilson has produced a versatile, lightweight racquet that would be an ideal choice for many beginner and intermediate players as well as up and coming junior players.

Power Rib is enhanced racket throat geometry at a crucial bending and twisting area of the frame. This provides greater stability and stiffness that result in more power and increased directional accuracy.
Crush Zone is an innovative grommet system that compresses at impact and increases ball dwelltime on the strings. The benefit of this technology is better feel and more potential energy that drives explosive power.
Dimensional Weight: 1.0 kg
Dimensional weight, also known as volumetric weight, is an estimated weight that is calculated from the length, width, height and actual weight of a package. It also takes into consideration oversize/fuel surcharges. It is not representative of the actual weight of a package. We use this estimated weight as the basis to our shipping rate calculations.
