Wilson updates the Ultra 100 Countervail with a new, sleek "Series Noir" paint job. The result is an extremely versatile, solid and comfortable frame that will appeal to fans of the previous generation and should make plenty of new fans.
In this update to the extremely popular Ultra 100 Wilson has kept most of the key specifications the same as the previous version. Back is the versatile 100 square inch head size that provides a generous sweetspot without providing too much pop. The 10.6 ounce (300 grams) unstrung weight provides the ideal balance of stability and manoeuvrability. The 7 points head light balance (320 mm) makes generating racquet head speed a breeze.
Though the specifications have remained the same in this update, Wilson has introduced some new technologies into this new version of the Ultra 100. Power Rib technology adds ribs to the inside of the throat of the racquet. The result is more torsional stability and directional control as well as a slight increase in stiffness in the throat, which helps to boast power. Crush Zone technology is a new grommet system that compresses at impact providing more dwell time, increased feel and a more explosive string bed.
This new version of the Ultra 100 also incorporates Countervail (CV) technology into the frame construction. Countervail minimizes frame vibration without sacrificing the racquet’s performance or feel.
The Ultra 100 Countervail is an extremely versatile racquet that will appeal to a wide range of players.

Power Rib is enhanced racket throat geometry at a crucial bending and twisting area of the frame. This provides greater stability and stiffness that result in more power and increased directional accuracy.
Crush Zone is an innovative grommet system that compresses at impact and increases ball dwelltime on the strings. The benefit of this technology is better feel and more potential energy that drives explosive power.
Countervail is a patented, one-of- a-kind, layered carbon fiber, originally designed for the aerospace industry to dissipate vibrational energy in airplanes and space vehicles. Wilson LABS, the innovation hub at Wilson, has strategically placed precise amounts of the technology into specific areas of each Blade racket frame to give tennis players meaningful and cumulative physiological benefits over time, including maximum energy, particularly in late sets or long matches, and less fatigue. As a result, athletes will have more control over his/her shots and recover from training and matches faster.
Dimensional Weight: 1.0 kg
Dimensional weight, also known as volumetric weight, is an estimated weight that is calculated from the length, width, height and actual weight of a package. It also takes into consideration oversize/fuel surcharges. It is not representative of the actual weight of a package. We use this estimated weight as the basis to our shipping rate calculations.
