The update to the popular Warrior 100, the Beast 100 is an extremely versatile racquet that has a great blend of power, control, feel and comfort. This is a racquet that will appeal to a wide range of different playing styles and levels. Racquet choice of ATP John Isner.
Coming in at 10.6 ounces unstrung, the Beast 100 has enough weight for it to plough through the hitting zone with ease and for it to be stable against balls struck with authority, but its light enough to also feel quick and nimble. Contributing to its manoeuvrability is its 9 point head light balance (315mm) and 322 swing weight (strung). With the Beast 100, generating racquet head speed is a breeze. Adding to the stability equation is the inclusion of Textreme in the racquets throat. This ultra-thin material ups stability without increasing weight. Added stability also means added directional control as the racquet does not torque as much at impact. This means you should find your target more often when wielding this stick. This second generation of Textreme technology also includes a material called Twaron. Twaron acts to dampen shock and vibration and improve the sound at impact without sacrificing feel. Making the Beast 100 arm friendly, especially compared to other racquets in this category. Prince has changed the string pattern in this update. Going from the Warrior 100's 16x18 string pattern to a 16x19 pattern. This new pattern still provides plenty of bite into the ball and thus their is still good access to spin. String breakers will likely applaud this slightly denser string pattern.
The TeXtreme Beast 100 is definitely worth considering if you are looking for a racquet that possess great feel, controllable power and is spin and arm friendly.
