Description

The SX 300 Tour from Dunlop brings optimized access spin and power to a hefty frame recommended for advanced players who need their racquet to deliver huge spin and power on your biggest swings.

The headsize at 98 square inches is smaller than average. With a tighter sweet spot for improved (but more challenging) pocketability, this racquet favours precision. Although the power is still available it will make you work harder for it which is an overall benefit for those who can handle it. The open string pattern has a lively feel with easier access to spin. The weight being the heaviest of the SX series at 10.9 ounces (unstrung) brings great stability, plow-through and stopping power for increased power potential, big return of serves and the ability to load up on spin for those who can swing it. Its head-light balance (unstrung) increases your ability to move the frame quickly, an important factor in generating power as well as being conducive to fast movements at the net for game-changing volleys or being able to swing fast for greater spin generation. The beam thickness enhances and optimizes the stability of the frame for greater energy transfer and power across the string-bed, something more common in racquets of the modern era being developed for spin and power.

The racquet has even more "Spin Boost" than before with it's new spin-enhancing grommets that allow extra string movement which improves the "bite" on the ball for a higher degree of spin rotation. Similarly, wider string spacing further amplifies its access to spin. The frame has also been redesigned to be slightly stiffer for more power potential with added stability on off-center hits. The smaller headsize distinguishes the Tour edition further by placing more emphasis onto precision than before.

Combined with the core technologies and updates, this racquet is a dangerous weapon for skilled players who want to maximize their power and spin.

  • Sonic Core: Located at the 2 and 10 o’clock areas of the racquet. Super-elastic, super-light material, offers rebound properties significantly higher than other materials. Reduced vibrations mean reduced impact and more comfort.
  • Spin Boost+ Grommets: a dynamic set of spin-enhancing grommets that work with the new spin boost string tech pattern to offer players more spin, power and control. The grommets allow more string movement, which creates ‘bite’ on the ball, thus generating a spin rotation. The extra movement makes the string bed more forgiving, effectively enlarging the sweet spot.
  • Spin Boost String Tech: an innovative enlargement of the string bed that creates more even power distribution and spin generation.
  • V-Energy Shaft: a unique V shape frame geometry in the shaft area of the racquet, which greatly enhances frame stability and racquet power.

Photos used contain images of strings for illustration purposes. Adult tennis racquets are unstrung unless otherwise noted or stringing services have been selected above. Brand logo stencils are not applied by default with stringing services. If you request brand logo stencils, please note that a stencil is painted onto the strings within a brand's stencil and may wear off over time - this is how stencils are applied on tour. Depending on the string you select, the stencil paint application fullness, colour and visibility may vary.
Adult racquets generally do not come with covers. To protect your racquet, we recommend getting a racquet bag.

Product specs such as weight may vary slightly from racquet to racquet to what is advertised due to the manufacturing process.

Grip size palm measurements for tennis racquets

If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip (for a slight increase) or a grip build-up sleeve (for a half or full size increase). The grip measurements above factor in the pre-installed factory grip.
