The new Pure Drive Lite arrives with a few new technological improvements that will surely continue to make it a fan favourite with players looking for a lightweight performance racquet.
The Pure Drive Lite is the lightest member of the Pure Drive family, however, that doesn't mean it does not pack some punch. Thanks to an unstrung static weight of 9.5 ounces (270 grams) and a low swingweight of 300 (strung) the Pure Drive Lite travels through the contact zone with ease and allows beginners and intermediates to produce the racquet head speed needed to produce power and spin. With a flex rating of 69 RA this updated version of the Pure Drive Lite plays a little softer than the previous version. Resulting in a more comfortable feel and touch more control.
Adding to the increase in comfort are two technological updates Babolat has included in all of the new Pure Drive racquets. FSI Power technology still offers slightly wider spacing between the cross strings, but now also features diamond shaped grommets that result in more power and increased comfort. Babolat's shock dampening technology Cortex has also been updated. Now dubbed Cortex Pure Feel and equipped with thin viscoelastic fibres supplied by French company SMAC that are uniquely designed to dampen impact vibration. According to Babolat this version not only dampens more shock and vibration, but also produces a better sound and enhanced feel.
Beginners, intermediates as well as those juniors progressing to adult racquets, should definitely consider the Pure Drive Lite for its great blend of power, spin and comfort. We are also loving the new electric blue paint scheme!
This racquet comes pre-strung from the manufacturer with a Babolat synthetic gut string for a balance of playability and durability.

To determine your grip size without using a racquet, measure from the tip of your ring finger to the major fold crease in your palm. Write down the distance to the nearest 8th of an inch. This is your standard grip size.
If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip or a grip build-up sleeve.
