Description

The EZONE 98 Tour from Yonex is engineered for intermediate to advanced players looking to pair their experienced stroke with a stable and playable frame for high performance.

At 315 grams, while it's a little heavier than the popular EZONE 98, it will provide players with increased stability which should prove beneficial for stronger returns, stable and powerful volleys and more potential force across the court. It's head light balance will provide great maneuverability even with the added weight so players will find easy access to spin and quick cuts for varied touch and a dynamic game. It's 98 square inch head size brings more precision than average while it's open string pattern contributes to it's easy sweet spot and access to spin.

Now the 6th generation of the EZONE series, this edition again improves on its predecessors. Yonex is always innovating and tweaking designs to bring the best quality racquets to the market.

This update incorporates the vibration dampening mesh we saw in the Vcore Pro update, reducing vibration through the handle of the racquet and generating a smoother feel during ball impact. A small change to the grommet system called Liner Tech has adjusted the sweetspot for a denser string configuration increasing touch and control while widening the outer grommets for reduced vibration. The last new technology is M40X, an elasticated graphite built into the throat for better frame stability while maintaining the low flex of the racquet that contributes to its growing popularity.

For players looking for an EZONE to tap into ultimate performance, this racquet shouldn't dissapoint.

ISOMETRIC technology delivers greater control without sacrificing power.
  • Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM):
A stretchy mesh material is wrapped around the graphite within the grip to filter unwanted vibrations for added touch and precision.
  • New Aero-Shaped Frame:
By varying the outer angle of the aero-shaped frame, the middle and upper hoop are plush, while the lower hoop is stable for a plush, comfortable feel.
  • Shockless Grommet:
Shockless Grommets are integrated at the side and bottom of the frame to minimize muscle fatigue and provide a soft feel at impact to protect the wrist, forearm, and elbow by absorbing shock.
  • Oval Pressed Shaft (OPS):
Shaft corners are rounded for an ideal flex at impact to increase dwell time for optimal spin and directional control for increased spin and control.
  • M40X:
A strong, elastic graphite is added in the throat to improve frame stability and flex for power in a more flexible frame. TORAYCA is a next generation carbon fiber developed by Toray Industries, Inc.
  • Liner Tech:
Straight hole grommets elongate the strings to optimize power and comfort on off-center shots for improved power and comfort.
  • Super Cushion Grip:
The cushioning performance of the grip helps minimize vibrations to protect the wrist, forearm, and elbow against shock-induced injuries.

Photos used contain images of strings for illustration purposes. Adult tennis racquets are unstrung unless otherwise noted or stringing services have been selected above. Brand logo stencils are not applied by default with stringing services. If you request brand logo stencils, please note that a stencil is painted onto the strings within a brand's stencil and may wear off over time - this is how stencils are applied on tour. Depending on the string you select, the stencil paint application fullness, colour and visibility may vary.
Adult racquets generally do not come with covers. To protect your racquet, we recommend getting a racquet bag.

Product specs such as weight may vary slightly from racquet to racquet to what is advertised due to the manufacturing process.

Grip size palm measurements for tennis racquets

If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip (for a slight increase) or a grip build-up sleeve (for a half or full size increase). The grip measurements above factor in the pre-installed factory grip.
