Description

The Blade 104 v8, suitable for a wide range of players from improving beginners to some advanced players, has an eye-catching design that comes with the series' enhanced feel and flexibility paired with a larger head size for easier access to power.

At 104 square inches, the slightly larger headsize brings a more forgiving sweet spot with increased power potential. The open string pattern enhances string movement for easier access to spin and inducing some trampoline effect for increased power generation. The racquet's average weight brings stability with maneuverability for a balance of power and control. The headlight balance of this racquet enhances a dynamic game's power and touch with faster racquet head speed for improved spin and power generation paired with quick and decisive volleys. The racquet is also quite flexible allowing for a longer dwell-time (the time the ball is in contact with the strings) and therefore an increased feel for the ball. The extra length of the racquet provides further reach for easier court coverage.

Wilson has updated the Blade series with some key technologies: FORTYFIVE, first used in the Clash series as FreeFlex, is a material construction process that increases the flexibility and stability of the racquet while DirectConnect fuses the handle directly to the buttcap which further enhances stability.

Players looking for what Wilson calls a "renaissance racquet", a racquet that can do all things, should try the Blade 104. With great ball feel, easier power and forgiving performance, this is in the sweet spot of racquets that will fit many players.

Grip size palm measurements for tennis racquets

If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip (for a slight increase) or a grip build-up sleeve (for a half or full size increase). The grip measurements above factor in the pre-installed factory grip.
