Description

The SX 300 from Dunlop brings optimized access to spin and power for intermediate and advanced players who aim to drive the ball, move their opponents around and off the court.

The headsize at 100 square inches provides a blend of control and power with a forgiving feel. Coupled with the headsize, the open string pattern has a livey feel with easier access to spin. The weight being heavier than average at 10.6 ounces (unstrung) brings more general stability and stopping power for increased power potential, big return of serves and the ability to load up on spin for those who can swing it. Its head-light balance (unstrung) increases your ability to move the frame quickly, an important factor in generating power as well as being conducive to fast movements at the net for game-changing volleys or being able to swing fast for greater spin generation. The beam thickness enhances and optimizes the stability of the frame for greater energy transfer and power across the string-bed, something more common in the 100 square inch racquets of the modern era being developed for spin and power.

Enhancing the above physical characteristics of the frame are the core technologies Dunlop has implemented into the materials that make up the racquet. Spin Boost brings enhanced grommets for optimized movement of the strings for an increase in spin potential. Sonic Core reduces impact shock and frame vibrations. Power Grid String Tech optimizes the string layout for a larger than usual sweet spot with enhanced spin potential. The racquet's shaft generates more power thanks to the V-Energy Shaft II tech Dunlop has engineered.

Combined with the core technologies, this racquet is a dangerous weapon for players who want to maximize their power and spin.

  • Head Size: 100 sq inches / 645 cm sq
  • Length: 27 inches / 68.58 cm
  • Weight: 10.6 ounces / 300 grams unstrung
  • Balance: 320 mm / 7 points head light unstrung
  • Swingweight: 325
  • Beam Width: 23mm / 26mm / 23mm
  • Flex: 65
  • Tension Range: 45-65 lbs / 20-29 kgs
  • String Pattern: 16 x 19
  • Style #: 102959
  • Spin Boost: a dynamic set of spin-enhancing grommets that work with a dense, control-string pattern. The oblong shaped grommets are located on the 10 main strings through the top section of the racquet hoop, they allow more string movement in the direction of the arrows shown on the racquet (forward and backward on some strings). Lateral (sideways) in one direction on other strings. This movement helps create ‘bite’ on the ball and generate high mechanical rotation – SPIN. Striking the ball at high impact locations on the string bed, gives less string slide motion (compared with low impact locations), less bite on the ball and gives less height and distance on shots. At low impact locations, this gives 46% more string slide motion (compared with high impact locations), more bite on the ball and gives more height and distance on shots. This combines to produce a ball trajectory that is 13% more consistent in terms of height and distance versus previous generation's technologies – resulting in greater accuracy.
  • Sonic Core: made with Infinergy by BASF, this super elastic material dampens impact shock and reduces frame vibrations by up to 37%, resulting in a more comfortable hitting sensation and a reduced chance of injury.
  • Power Grid String Tech: creates a 30% larger sweet spot, evenly distributing power across the string bed, allwoing modern day players to hit the ball towards the top of the racquet.
  • V-ENERGY SHAFT II: get a firm bite and enhanced shot power, thanks to the optimised rigidity from a V-shaped cross-section.

Photos used contain images of strings for illustration purposes. Adult tennis racquets are unstrung unless otherwise noted or stringing services have been selected above. Brand logo stencils are not applied by default with stringing services. If you request brand logo stencils, please note that a stencil is painted onto the strings within a brand's stencil and may wear off over time - this is how stencils are applied on tour. Depending on the string you select, the stencil paint application fullness, colour and visibility may vary.
Adult racquets generally do not come with covers. To protect your racquet, we recommend getting a racquet bag.

Adult Racquets Sizing Information
Grip Size Length
L0 (4") 4" (4 inches)
L1 (4 1/8") 4 and 1/8" (4.125 inches)
L2 (4 1/4") 4 and 2/8" (4.25 inches)

L5 (4 5/8") 4 and 5/8" (4.625 inches)

To determine your grip size without using a racquet, measure from the tip of your ring finger to the major fold crease in your palm. Write down the distance to the nearest 8th of an inch. This is your standard grip size.

Grip size palm measurements for tennis racquets

If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip (for a slight increase) or a grip build-up sleeve (for a half or full size increase). The grip measurements above factor in the pre-installed factory grip.
