With so few extended racquets on the market we are thrilled that Babolat has brought back the Aero +. At 27.6 inches players will sacrifice a bit of maneuverability for extra pop on their serve and strokes provided they can generate the same racquet head speed. The task of updating the market's best-selling racquet is never an easy endeavour, however, Babolat realized that they shouldn't mess with a good thing and smartly kept much of the previous version of the Pure Aero's specification intact for this redesigned and re-engineered update. The racquet's weight remains 10.6 ounces unstrung with a 7 points head-light balance. This coupled with the racquet's Aeromodular design makes for a racquet that swings through the air with ease. Generating power and spin should not be a problem for players of almost any skill level. It's versatility and that fact that it appeals to such a wide range of players and playing styles is what has always made the Pure Aero, as well as the Aero Pro drive that preceeded it, such a hot seller. This new version should be no different. If there has been one aspect of the past versions of this racquet that some players did not love, it would be its fairly stiff flex. Babolat has addressed this by moving their Cortex Pure Feel technology to the head of the racquet at 3 and 9 o'clock. This results in a noticeably softer feel at impact as well as a touch more control. A change that most players will welcome. Babolat's FSI Spin technology is back in the Pure Aero 2019. Wider spacing between the strings in the sweetspot provide extra bite into the ball and oblong grommets at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions which create more string snapback to further enhance spin potential.

To determine your grip size without using a racquet, measure from the tip of your ring finger to the major fold crease in your palm. Write down the distance to the nearest 8th of an inch. This is your standard grip size.
If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip or a grip build-up sleeve.
