Description

The SX Team 280 from Dunlop is a great value suitable to a wide variety of players due to its average physical specifications bringing a blend of control and power and the fact that it comes pre-strung.

The headsize at 100 square inches provides a blend of control and power with a forgiving feel. Coupled with the headsize, the open string pattern has a lively feel with easier access to spin. The weight being slightly lighter than average at 9.9 ounces (unstrung) maintains good general stability and stopping power for increased power potential and strong return of serves while bringing lightweight feel for enhanced maneuverability granting easier movement for net-play, serves and quick returns. Its head-light balance (unstrung) increases your ability to move the frame quickly, an important factor in generating power as well as being conducive to fast movements at the net for game-changing volleys or being able to swing fast for greater spin generation. The beam thickness enhances and optimizes the stability of the frame for greater energy transfer and power across the string-bed, something more common in the 100 square inch racquets of the modern era being developed for spin and power.

While the SX Team 280 doesn't use the latest SX technologies found in the more expensive options, this graphite frame uses Dunlop's proven material technologies to drive surprising performance, stability and feel.

Combined with the core technologies, this racquet is an easy recommendation to players who are just starting out and want a racquet to grow with as well as more experienced players looking for a balanced and forgiving frame to enhance their game.

Grip size palm measurements for tennis racquets

If you fall somewhere between the measurements, it is recommended to choose the smaller grip size as you can always build the grip size up using an overgrip (for a slight increase) or a grip build-up sleeve (for a half or full size increase). The grip measurements above factor in the pre-installed factory grip.
