# Title: Wilson Blade 98 16x19 v9 ## Description: The Blade 98 16x19 v9 provides a sharper and more stable response, which results in a more connected-to-the-ball feel, ideal for intermediate to advanced players who are looking for a competitive edge. At 98 square inches, the slightly smaller headsize brings a tighter sweet spot with increased control potential for players able to consistently hit the sweet spot. The open string pattern enhances string movement for easier access to spin and inducing some trampoline effect for increased power generation. The racquet's weight is heavier than average which grants a stable experience for powerful groundstrokes and impactful return of serves while shots outside of the sweet spot benefit from a reduction of unwanted torque and an increase in power generation. The headlight balance of this racquet further enhances a dynamic game's power and touch with faster racquet head speed for improved spin and power generation paired with quick and decisive volleys. The racquet is also quite flexible allowing for a longer dwell-time (the time the ball is in contact with the strings) and therefore an increased feel for the ball. Wilson has updated the Blade series with a new Emerald Night matte finish and a braided graphite + basalt frame with a DirectConnect carbon fiber handle for enhanced torsional stability. StableFeel technology bolsters the frame’s resistance to twisting and bending, providing a more connected feel and a firmer grip on the ball. As the overall specs of this racquet have stayed the same, players who have used previous generations of this racquet will appreciate the improved stability and feel achieved through Wilson's technological improvements. Any competitive player looking for a racquet that provides exceptional control and feel should try this racquet. Head Size: 98 sq inches / 632 sq cm Length: 27 inches / 68.6 cm Weight: 10.8 ounces / 305 grams Balance: 7 pts HL / 320 mm Swingweight: 323 Beam Width: 20.6mm / 20.6mm / 20.6mm Flex: 62 Tension Range: 50-60 lbs / 23-27 kg String Pattern: 16x19 Style #: WR149811 2/1/2024 Parallel Drilling: Grommet construction provides a consistent, more forgiving string bed response while dramatically increasing the sweet spot. FORTYFIVE: Patent-protected frame layup produces more connected-to-the-ball feel while better complementing the more modern, vertical swing path. Material increases both flexibility and stability without compromise through the swing. Braided Graphite + Basalt: Elastic and reactive material combination improves the flex of a racquet to increase ball contact with the strings for enhanced feel and greater control. Top Grip Taper: Tapered grip lends better feel for top-handed grip placement on two-handed backhand. DirectConnect: Carbon fiber handle extends to directly connect with end cap for improved feel and enhanced torsional stability. StableFeel: The new Blade technology that provides an enhanced, firmer feel that increases stability and creates a more connected-to-the-ball feel. Designed with avid players in mind, this "sharper Blade" is ideal for those seeking to improve their game. ## Product type: Racquet ## Vendor: Wilson ## Tags: 10-5-11-0-oz, adult-racquets, family-blade, grip-size-l0-4, head-light, in-stock, midplus-96-105, racquets, sale, Status_Racquet_Bulk_Deal_Exclusion, type-racquets, wilson ## Price range: 219.95 - 219.95 CAD ## Link: https://www.merchantoftennis.com/products/wilson-blade-98-16x19-v9 ## Compare-at price range: 300.0 - 300.0 CAD ## Options - Grip Size: L0 (4), L1 (1-8), L2 (1-4), L3 (3-8), L4 (1-2), L5 (5-8) ## Collections - [Sale](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/sale) - [Racquets](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/racquets) - [All](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/all) - [Wilson](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/wilson) - [Midplus (96-105)](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/midplus-96-105) - [Head Light](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/head-light) - [Adult Tennis Racquets](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/adult-racquets) - [L0 (4)](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/grip-size-l0-4) - [Clearance Racquets](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/clearance-racquets) - [Brand Listing](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/brand-listing) - [Popular Adult Racquets](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/popular-adult-racquets) - [Wilson Blade Series](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/wilson-blade-series) - [Wilson Blade Tennis Racquets](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/wilson-blade-tennis-racquets) - [Sale Adult Racquets](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/sale-adult-racquets) - [Racquets by type](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/racquets-by-type) - [Newest](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/newest) - [Emma Raducanu Collection](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/emma-raducanu) - [Blade](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/family-blade) - [Tennis Racquets](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/tennis-racquets) - [Paula Badosa Collection](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/paula-badosa-collection) - [Beatriz Haddad Maia Collection](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/beatriz-haddad-maia-collection) - [10.5 - 11.0 oz](https://www.merchantoftennis.com/a/llms/collections/10-5-11-0-oz) ## Variants - L0 (4), SKU: 90990, Available: yes, Inventory: 1, Delivery profile: General profile - L1 (1-8), SKU: 90991, Available: no, Inventory: 0, Delivery profile: General profile - L2 (1-4), SKU: 90992, Available: no, Inventory: 0, Delivery profile: General profile - L3 (3-8), SKU: 90993, Available: no, Inventory: 0, Delivery profile: General profile - L4 (1-2), SKU: 90994, Available: no, Inventory: 0, Delivery profile: General profile - L5 (5-8), SKU: 95914, Available: no, Inventory: 0, Delivery profile: General profile
